Thanksgiving: Days 21-23

Day 21: I am thankful for my in-laws. Every family is special in their own way, mine included. I'm sure to the foreign eye, every family looks a little strange. But I'm so grateful we can have fun together. And that my mother-in-law is such a loving person.

Thanksgiving: Days 18-20

Day 18: I am thankful for my dad. He is such a hard worker! He has worked some awful jobs, and I know he did it all for my family. His main goal has always just been to provide for us. What a tough job, I know he would've rather been around more than been somewhere working.

Thanksgiving: Days 14-17

Day 14: I am thankful for my washer and dryer. Washing clothes by hand...NAH! I think I'll pass. I swear, I could just kiss the person who invented such a thing! Let me tell you a story.

Thanksgiving: Days 8 & 9

First of all, to those that were on the edge of their seats waiting for my post yesterday, I apologize. You did not wait in vain. :)

Thanksgiving: Day 7

Day 7: I am thankful for my mother. For obvious reasons. :) Most people think their mom's are the best. Let me start by saying, ya'll are wrong! MY mom's the best! Seriously, she was sent straight from Heaven. The woman is a Saint.

Thanksgiving: Day 6

Day 6: I am thankful for my husband's job. I would say that I'm grateful for MY job, but that's actually the reason I'm grateful for my husband's....If that makes sense.

Pumpkin Spice Muffins

Confession: Sometimes I don't have the time to bake completely from scratch.

There are a few great recipes I've found that take "the short cut" route. If you're like me, you LOVE dessert, but you have lots of other things you could be doing, rather than spending your day in the kitchen. So here's a yummy Fall inspired dessert designed for one of those days.

Thanksgiving: Day 5

Day 5: I am thankful for locks on my doors. You think your neighborhood is safe... until it's not. I was driving home from the grocery store tonight and there were three Police cars on the corner of my street.

Thanksgiving: Day 4

Day 4: I am thankful for my lovely home. I absolutely love having the freedom to do whatsoever I desire to it. I love being able to paint previously bland walls and liven them up! House projects are the best. And I'm so looking forward to gardening this upcoming Spring.

Thanksgiving: Day 3

Day 3: I am thankful for my sisters. ALL 5 OF THEM! Yes, it seems like a big number, but quite frankly, some days I feel like I could use more of them. We have so much fun together. BUT! We can get a little loud. Consider yourself warned!

Thanksgiving: Day 2

Day 2: I am thankful for my son, Porter. Only another mother could really relate to how I feel about this kid.

This grumpy little face entered my life August 6,2012, and my life hasn't been the same since.

30 Days of Thankgiving

I've decided that I will be participating in this "30 Days of Thanksgiving". I have so much to be thankful for, and yet I don't express it nearly enough.

Today is November 2nd, so I will be making up for yesterday as well.

Two Fugitives and a Cop

As my first confession, I must admit that I am a TERRIBLE planner. Sure, I make plans in my head. But I never follow through.

Here's a great example:
